The home of a family with a passion for wine. We source our grapes from specially selected sites across the beautifully diverse landscape of South Africa. Our pursuit of exceptional quality grapes spans from the foot of the beautiful mountains in the heart of the Winelands in Stellenbosch, all the way to the picturesque Coastal Regions where the Atlantic & Indian oceans collide. Our continuous pursuit of excellence, classic craftsmanship, modern winemaking techniques as well as our unique selection of grapes culminate in wines filled with flavour that are beautifully accessible and uniquely fit for any occasion.

Our philosophy at Round House is to craft wines that are elegant yet vibrant with expressive fruit flavours. That’s why we select grapes from specific vineyard sites and clones to secure greater fruit intensity, structure and accessibility. Flavours are the driving force behind our harvest steered by our viticulturist who spends hours in the vineyards following the development of the medley of unique flavours within the grapes.

Our story

The historical Round House saw the colonial era in its full splendour, playing host to the most prominent grandees of the day. It captures the spirit of elegance & luxury, a place of exceptional hospitality and merriment dating all the way back to Lord Somerset’s days. This inspired us to produce Round House Wines and mirror the perfect culmination of its history and replicate the distinct experience offered to wine lovers today.
